For urgent help:
If you are experiencing something that makes you feel unsafe, distressed, or worried about your mental health, or if you are worried about someone’s mental health:
Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option (option 2)
If you live in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, you can also:
- Call our the Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust Freephone 24/7 urgent NHS Mental Health Helpline - 0808 196 4501
- Text STW to 85258 to receive support for your mental health at any time of the day or night
- Email access.shropshire@mpft.nhs.uk
Other sources of urgent help:
If you are a young person in crisis:
- Call Childline for free to speak to someone about what's happening and how you're feeling (0800 1111)

If you are a young adult in crisis:
- Call the Samaritans free helpline. It's open 24 hours, 365 days a year (116 123)

If it's an emergency:
- If you are in an emergency and there is a risk to life (that can be your own or another persons) call 999
